I wanted each of the children in my Little Lambs classes to have a nativity scene to take home. The nativity scene had to be inexpensive (because there were 35 kids!). I also wanted it to have figures that did not fall over easily and that the kids would want to play with. At Teachers Pay Teachers I found these cone-shaped nativity figures that were already colored. Just what I needed!
Because I had so many sets to make, I decided to not include all the figures in the sets. I used Mary (3.65″ tall), Joseph (3.78″ tall), Baby Jesus, shepherd (3.63″ tall), sheep (2.37 ” tall), 3 kings (4.05″ tall), and the angel (4.45″ tall). I printed and cut them out. I decided to laminate them because I wanted them to last awhile.
Now all I needed was a stable. I created one using a 8.5″ x 14″ sheet of cardstock.
The children colored the stable, cut them out, and taped them with their parents’ help.
This nativity set does not have a star so I created one. There are two options for printing: print one or two stars at a time.
If you want the star to hang, punch holes in each side for the string.
I used these nativity figures and stable in Lesson #4. Click over to see how I presented it to the children.
