Holy Week Eggs

July 14, 2021 By Anne Leave a Comment

Holy Week is full of so many events that it can be confusing for children. The Holy Week Eggs and Holy Week Eggs booklet are a good way to introduce children to Holy Week and all that happens during it.

Holy Week Eggs Booklet post

To make the Holy Week Eggs, first number each egg (1-12) with a permanent marker.

Using the next two pictures or the Holy Week Eggs booklet as a guide, put an item in each egg. For example, in egg #1 put a palm leaf.

For the palm leaf, I used an artificial leaf and cut sections out of it to make it more like a palm leaf.

For the towel, you can use a piece of an old towel or washrag.

I did not have anything to use for the chalice and bread so I printed a picture of them. You can find this in PDF.

For #12, you do not put anything in this egg.

Now print the Holy Week Eggs label on white cardstock. Color and cut out the label. Glue it to the top of the egg carton with a hot glue gun.

May God bless your celebration of Holy Week!
