As a Church, we use big words for some of the events in Mary’s life — Annunciation, Assumption, Coronation,…I have found that many of my parents do not know what these words mean. This craft is a way to explain what the Assumption and Coronation are and to have fun while doing it!
First you need to make copies. Print the background page (the one with the words “Assumption” and “Coronation” on it) on blue cardstock. Print the page with Mary on it on white cardstock. (Note: you will need one Mary and one crown per craft.)
Begin with Mary at the bottom of the page. Move Mary to the top of the page as you talk about her being assumed into Heaven — the Assumption. In Heaven she is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth — the Coronation.
